Austintatious Artists
Mural Restoration Project

For over forty years, Austinites and visitors alike have enjoyed the murals painted by Austintatious Artists Kerry Awn, tommyb, and Rick Turner on the walls of the University Coop at the Renaissance Market at 23rd Street and Guadalupe. Recently, these beloved artworks have been defaced by unknown vandals. The University Coop estimates a restoration cost of at least $30,000, but lacks the funds to complete a restoration. We, the original artists, have taken the responsibility to create a crowdsourcing campaign in order to return these two murals to their former glory. This not only includes repainting the vandalized areas, but also repairing stucco damage, faded and cracked paint, and an application of a fresh antigraffiti coating. If you are interested in helping to restore these Austin landmarks, visit our indiegogo donation page, where you can learn more about our efforts, donate to help the restoration in any amount, and learn what perks you will receive with your donation.
